|
Congratulations to the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade volleyball teams! All three teams advanced to the championship game. 6th and 8th won their championship game, and 7th was runner-up. What a great first season! Congratulations!

Congratulations WCMS Band Students!
|
Peyton Brasher, Isaac Jobe, Jon Parkest, and Emery Thomasson auditioned and were selected for the KMEA All-State Concert Band, the highest level of musical achievement for students. They are the first group of WCMS students to audition and be selected. Congratulations!

Betas Qualify for National Competition
|
10 WCHS Betas competed at the National Beta Leadership Summit in Gatlinburg, TN, and all of them qualified to compete at nationals in Orlando, FL, this summer in the following competitions:
- Collaboration Connection
- Project Proposal
- Lead Outside the Box

Sebree Students Skating through PE
|
Sebree students are learning how to rollerskate in PE for the next two weeks. This program allows students to work on several skills while having fun!

Providence ELS Hosts a Wax Museum
|
Providence students hosted a wax museum yesterday, an activity that requires them to share their research on a famous historical person. Projects such as this one help students practice critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication, all traits of a Trojan Graduate. Way to go, Providence!

Providence ELS Granted Little Free Library
|
The nonprofit organization Little Free Library has granted 200 book-sharing boxes to Title I elementary schools in the U.S. Providence Elementary received the grant. They will receive a little library in April, just in time for summer reading!
Each library also receives 200 books from Penguin Random House, and all materials will be posted outside for easy access. Congratulations!

WCHS Student Presents at Conference
|
Braghen Sloat, who serves as 1 of 13 KY Ambassadors, presented at the Kentucky Society of Technology in Education Conference in Louisville this week. Braghen has been serving since Tuesday in the role of technical support and ambassador to technical organizations from all over the country and world, including Dell, Microsoft, and Google. She
will be going in April to help organize the STLP State Championships.
